Year Level Masses

This term, every year level has had the opportunity to attend a Year Level Mass at our parish church. These Masses are an important part of our school’s Catholic identity and provide students with a chance to deepen their understanding of the Eucharist, connect with their faith, and experience our liturgical celebrations in a more personal and meaningful way.
These gatherings also help to strengthen the connection between our school and parish community. By regularly attending Mass at the church and engaging with Father Andrew, students are building a deeper relationship with the parish and developing a stronger sense of belonging to the wider faith community.
After each Mass, Father Andrew has spent time speaking with the students, helping them explore the different parts of the Mass. He has thoughtfully answered their questions and guided discussions about what they observed and experienced. These moments have been valuable in helping students grow in their faith and become more familiar with the rituals and symbols of the Catholic tradition.
In Term 3, students will continue to attend Year Level Masses. We are excited to begin introducing a student-led component to the Mass. Next term, students will start by leading small parts of the Mass, with the goal of gradually building toward fully student-led liturgies. This approach will help students grow in confidence and ownership of their faith.
We look forward to continuing this journey with our students as they become more active participants in the life of the Church, and as we continue to nurture the important connection between our school and parish.
