Updates to School Policy Templates

Term 2 updates to the templates on the School Policy Templates Portal include:
The School Complaints Policy Template has been updated to provide additional guidance and resources to schools to support complaint resolution, and to streamline the process for escalation to region and centre. Schools are not required to update their local policy immediately, but it is recommend that they refer to the updated template when their local complaints policy is next reviewed.
- The Student dress code policy template has been updated to include new resources to support schools and school councils to implement the uniform affordability changes announced on 2 April 2025. These resources and guidance aim to assist schools to transition away from branded shorts, pants, skorts, skirts, leggings and socks and to consider other ways to improve uniform affordability. All schools that have an existing local student dress code must review their policy and make changes in line with the new uniform affordability requirements before the end of the 2025 school year.
