Junior & Senior Buddies

This week we held our very first Junior and Senior buddy sessions, and what a wonderful time it was! The Multipurpose Room was full of laughter, chatter, and creativity as our older and younger students met their new buddies for the very first time.

To help break the ice, we began with some fun “Would You Rather” games, which quickly had everyone smiling and sharing their ideas. Our Seniors then helped their Junior buddies complete and decorate an “All About Me” sheet, giving them a chance to learn more about each other’s favourite things, hobbies, and interests.

It was fantastic to see the Seniors taking on such a positive leadership role and the Juniors brimming with excitement as they made a new friend. This buddy program is designed to foster connection, support, and community across year levels, and we are off to a brilliant start.

We look forward to seeing these relationships grow throughout the year!

Year 10 Work Experience

Year 10's have an exciting week on work experience this week. Teachers visit students throughout the week to check in and see how they are travelling. When visited, Laura had just come out of surgery at Wollaston Vet Group. Dressed in a uniform and all smiles! Work experience win!

Food Tech

This week in Food Technology, our students explored foods from around the world and created their own delicious homemade takeaway meals.

Year 7 students made Nachos, learning about Mexican cuisine while practising their chopping, grating, and seasoning skills.

Year 8 students made Pizzas, exploring Italian flavours and experimenting with a variety of toppings.

Both classes loved making meals that showed how easy (and tasty!) it can be to recreate favourite takeaway dishes at home.
