Waranga Athletics Carnival

On Friday 15 August we hosted eight other schools for our annual Waranga Athletics Carnival. The sun was shining all day, lasting until pack-up (we were lucky to be finished and heading inside just as the rain came pouring down!).

It was exciting to see all Year 3-6 students having fun and trying their best in all events. There were lots of ribbons all around, with our school winning the most points and ribbons for the day! We will have 22 students travel to Bendigo in the upcoming weeks to compete at the next level in athletics. We wish all these students the best and we know you will make our school proud!

It was great to see our younger students cheering on the Year 3-6 cohort throughout the day. The highlight was definitely the relays at the beginning of the day, where the atmosphere was electric with all schools cheering each other on. We came away with 2 teams, our 10-year-old boys and our 12/13-year-old girls, coming first and continuing on to the next stage.

Thank you to all that helped make this event possible, it could not have been done without you and without the great sportsmanship from all of our students!

Thanks to Year 10 students Layne, Maddison and Olivia for taking some fantastic shots of the action.

A huge congratulations to Max, Levi, Oscar and Mia who all came away from the day age group champions!
