Our Foundation students have made a wonderful start to Term 2 in PE! We’ve been revisiting running through lots of fun games, focusing on safe stops, fast starts, and moving with control. The students have shown fantastic energy and big smiles during every lesson!
This term, we’re also beginning to learn the Fundamental Movement Skill (FMS) of the vertical jump. Through playful activities, students will practise jumping high with bent knees, swinging arms, and soft landings. It’s all about building strength, balance, and confidence while having lots of fun along the way!
Our Year 1 and 2 students have had a fantastic start to Term 2 in PE! We've been revisiting the important Fundamental Movement Skill (FMS) of Running, focusing on using eyes forward, robot arms and big steps.. It’s been great to see students growing in confidence and having fun while moving their bodies.
As we continue through the term, we’ll be introducing the FMS skill of Kicking. Students will explore different ways to kick—both for power and accuracy—through a variety of fun games and activities. We’re excited to help them develop these important skills in a positive and playful way!
Term 2 has kicked off with lots of fun and movement in PE for our Year 3 and 4 students! Everyone has been settling in really well and showing great excitement during lessons. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be learning about Athletics and trying out some new activities like high jump, long jump, and triple jump.
These jumping events will help students build their strength, balance, and coordination in a fun and supportive environment. We’ll be focusing on giving things a go, learning new skills step-by-step, and celebrating personal progress. We can’t wait to see the students jump into Term 2 with big smiles and even bigger leaps!
Our Year 5 and 6 students have made a fantastic start to Term 2, showing great energy and enthusiasm in PE! Over the coming weeks, they’ll be introduced to a range of Athletics events, including high jump, long jump, and triple jump. These activities will focus on building technique, coordination, and confidence as students learn the fundamentals of each event.
Students will have the opportunity to practice these skills both individually and in small groups, encouraging personal improvement and teamwork. We’re excited to see their athletic abilities develop as they challenge themselves in new ways. It’s shaping up to be an exciting and active term ahead!
