Welcome to the Week Two newsletter. We have had a wonderful, fun- filled start to the Term with Camp and lots of interesting activities completed in the classroom. Some pictures of our outdoor adventures and writing samples from our classroom work have been included for you to enjoy.
CAMP
Year 3 students had an unforgettable time at Mt Evelyn Camp, taking on exciting outdoor activities like the flying fox, giant swing, and crate building challenges. They soared through the treetops, swung twenty meters high, and worked together to solve problems while building unstable towers. The camp also featured animal encounters, where students held live frogs, turtles, and a diamond python, and they became eco warriors by pulling invasive weeds to protect endangered species’ habitats.
A huge thank you to the Year 3 staff for their dedication and support throughout the camp, ensuring our students had a safe and memorable experience. A special shout-out goes to our amazing parent helpers – your time and effort made a big difference, and we truly appreciate everything you did to make the camp a success!

HOUSE COLOUR DAY
Get ready to show your spirit on House Colour Day this Monday, 5th May! Students in Years 3–6 are encouraged to wear their house colours as we celebrate the introduction of our exciting new house chants. These chants will be officially launched at assembly, so come ready to cheer and show your house pride!
MOTHER'S DAY PICNIC
You're warmly invited to our Mother's Day picnic at Vermont Primary School on Friday, 9th May, from 12:30 to 1:10pm! Bring along some food to share and join us for a relaxed lunch to celebrate the wonderful mums and carers in our school community. It’s a great chance to catch up, enjoy the outdoors, and make some lovely memories together. We can’t wait to see you there!
