District Cross Country Carnival

Vermont PS -- Nunawading District -- Whitehorse Division -- Eastern Region -- State

Congratulations to the Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 students who represented Vermont Primary School at yesterday's Nunawading District Cross Country Carnival . With beautiful weather and a scenic yet demanding course, including a steep hill and several testing inclines, our students took on the challenge with enthusiasm and determination.

It was wonderful to see so many excited students giving their all. Their effort, resilience, and sportsmanship were on full display throughout the event. We also celebrated some outstanding individual achievements, and as a team, our school proudly secured 2nd place overall.  Well done to all involved!

House Cross Country Carnival

Vermont PS -- Nunawading District -- Whitehorse Division -- Eastern Region -- State

This year’s House Cross Country Carnival was held at the end of Term 1 between recess and lunch on the Vermont Reserve.  Students ran the Cantley Lane, Terrara Road, Canterbury Road and Nurlendi Road course.  The School Sport Victoria distance and age group classifications require 9 and 10 year old students to run 2kms and 11 and 12 year old students to complete a 3km course. 

After an extremely competitive day of competition, only 246 points separated 1st and 2nd with Nurlendi eventually being crowned this year’s House Cross Country Champions.  I would like to thank our committed teachers and wonderful parent community for supervising the course and supporting the students.
