Principal's Message

Leongatha Primary School - Week 3 Principal’s Message

Dear Leongatha Primary School Community,

Welcome to Week 3

We are excited for another busy week ahead, filled with opportunities for our students to shine and engage in valuable experiences. I’d like to take a moment to highlight a few important events and wish all our students success as they take part in these activities.

District Athletics – Tuesday, 6 May

This Tuesday, our students will have the fantastic opportunity to represent Leongatha Primary School at the District Athletics competition. It’s always a highlight of the year, and I encourage all our athletes to participate with school spirit, pride, and determination. Whether you’re competing or cheering on your teammates, this is a wonderful chance to show what it means to be part of our school community.

Grade 4 Wildlife Xposure Excursion – Thursday, 8 May

On Thursday, our Grade 4 students will embark on an exciting excursion to Wildlife Xposure. This experience will bring their curriculum learning to life as they explore wildlife and deepen their understanding of animal biology and ecosystems. We hope this hands-on experience sparks curiosity and reinforces the value of outdoor learning.

Mother’s Day / Special Others Stall – Thursday, 8 May

Our annual Mother’s Day and Special Others Stall will be held this Thursday. It’s a lovely opportunity for students to purchase a thoughtful gift for the important women and special people in their lives. We know that these gifts will be filled with love and appreciation, and we thank all who have helped make this event possible.

Do It For Dolly Day – Friday, 9 May

On Friday, we will come together as a school to support Do It For Dolly Day, a day dedicated to raising awareness for bullying prevention. Students are encouraged to wear an item of blue, and we ask for a gold coin donation to support the cause. This day reminds us all of the importance of kindness, respect, and standing up against bullying in our community.

Grade 6 Winter Sports – Begins this Week

Finally, we wish all our Grade 6 students the best of luck as they start their Winter Sports season. We know that you will represent our school with pride and demonstrate excellent teamwork and sportsmanship.

Let’s continue to support each other, show our school spirit, and make the most of the opportunities this week has to offer. I wish all students success in their events and look forward to hearing about their achievements.

Have a fantastic week ahead.

Warm regards,

Warwick
