Our 150th anniversary celebration a couple of weekends ago was a truly unforgettable day! The school was buzzing with excitement as past and present students, staff, and families came together to mark this special milestone. From a vibrant performance by former student, Taylor Henderson, wonderful speeches and public speaking by our student school leaders, fun activities on our oval, yummy cake stall, to the fascinating historical displays, the event was a joyful tribute to our school’s proud legacy. A huge thank you to everyone who helped bring the celebration to life—it was a wonderful reminder of the strong, supportive community we’re lucky to be part of.
Head over to the 150th page of our newsletter to relive the wonderful day by browsing through some photos.
A big thank you to all the students, families, and staff who took part in Walk Safely to School Day this morning! It was great to see so many smiling faces making healthy, active choices and helping to promote road safety and sustainability in our community.
Today we are celebrating 'Education Support Personnel Day'. It is always a special time to acknowledge and celebrate the hard work of our dedicated Education Support Staff. They are the glue that holds us all together, and we couldn't operate as a successful school community without them.
To our amazing ES team, thank you for your tireless efforts in creating an environment where we can all succeed. Students, their families, allied health teams, teachers, and the leadership team all benefit from and appreciate your energy, enthusiasm, and efforts!
At Ceres, we truly have an incredible crew of ES staff. If you get the opportunity, please share your appreciation with members of our ES
Last week, our student leaders attended the North Geelong Leaders Breakfast, joining schools from across Geelong for an inspiring morning focused on leadership and resilience. The highlight of the event was hearing from Justine Martin, whose unique and courageous story challenged our understanding of strength and determination. Our students represented the school with pride and left the event feeling motivated to lead with purpose and empathy.
I would like to wish all Ceres PS mothers, grandmothers, and motherly figures a wonderful Happy Mother's Day for last Sunday. I hope you all had a wonderful day, and were all suitably spoiled by your children and families, and that you all received the recognition you deserve.
If you have a sibling of a current student to be enrolled next year, then we ask that you notify the office earlier rather than later to give us a clear indication of potential numbers.
Enrolment forms are now available from the office.

Reminder:
Our student led Assembly is today at 2:30 pm. Our assembly is an important part of our school. It is an opportunity to proactively reinforce our school values and expectations through the acknowledgement and celebration of our students and school.
Have a great fortnight!
