Emotions! Emotions!

Welcome to the time of the year when we farewell our Year 6 students and we welcome our newest Kindy students. Coming to school - and leaving primary school - are significant milestones in life. it was wonderful to spend an evening with many of our Year 6 students last Tuesday, at the farewell. Seeing students all dressed up, having dinner together, playing some trivia and then dancing and having fun was delightful. Then the serious handing out of certificates and acknowledging each student in the room. I know that on the last day, when the whole school gathers to farewell our Year 6 students there will be many tears and fond memories!

And to our youngest learners... we have 42 Kindies enrolled for next year. Many have been to all of the transition sessions - the final one is next Wednesday (6th). They are learning about play, sharing, gathering for a story and forming a group with teacher support. 

Stage 3 Fun Day was today - what great weather for some outdoor water play!

10 days to go

...and so much still going on. Reading, writing, maths and some Inquiry work is still going on in classrooms. 

We also have Mock High School happening - this is where our Stage 3 students participate in a "pretend" high school for 2 days - cooking, languages, maths, art, drama and PDHPE are all offered by a range of teachers for a period each day. Stay tuned to hear about The Trongate High!!

Our last Scripture and Thank You Luncheon is Tuesday - a time to acknowledge all of the people who contribute to our school.

Prostar Pizza Party with the Principal - is next Thursday. 24 students have been invited to that - due to their good behaviour.

SRC Mufti Day is next Friday - a colour theme has been chosen by the kids. Bring a gold coin donation.

Stage 1 Open afternoon (a water play focus) is on next Friday too - come along to see S1.

Our final Gold Badge assembly for the year is Monday 11th. 

Presentation Day is Tuesday 12th 9:15 in the hall.

I am taking 6 select students who have received a Supernova Award on a special excursion on Tuesday - to an Escape Room in Parramatta!

GEPS Idol (our talent fest) is Thursday 14th 11-12.

The final day for students is Friday 15 December. Please join us from 2:45pm in the Hall to farewell our Year 6 students.
