New - 3/4 Area Open Classroom

Our 3/4 students are having an Open Classroom for thier parents/carers to come along and see the childrens inquiry work.

Parents/carers are invited to come join us this Thursday from 3pm to 3.20pm. 

 New - 2024 F.I.R.E Carriers

Friends Igniting Reconciliation through Education.

Project that promotes Fairness, Respect and Inclusion for aboriginal people. 

A F.I.R.E. carrier role is an important leadership role within our school community, with leaders sharing a passion for learning about aboriginal culture and history, with a committment to sharing this knowledge within our school community.

Students were invited to apply for this role.

New - End of Year Picnic Information

The attached note was sent home regarding our end of year Picnic & Carols Information, the order of events and what students are required to wear and any props students will need to bring along with them.

Please come along before 6pm so we are ready to start at the scheduled time.

 

Bring along a picnic, chairs/rug or alternativley Azim from People Helping People will be onsite with food and drink ready to be purchased from 5.30pm. 

 

Our 2024 Preps have been invited along to join us and share a song with their Gr6 Buddy.

 

We look forward to seeing you all on the night as we celebrate the end of another school year.

NEW -  Missy & Steve Visit our Preps

Last week we learnt about how wool gets to our house from farms.

We had a visit from Missy and Steve the sheep, we watched Briony spin the wool and explored sheep and alpaca wool.

We also got to sheer sheep to find words, make sheep with real wool and make             pom-poms.

It was an amazing day.

New - Preps & Bush Kinder

Our Preps had a great time today with Rangers Emma and Will exploring bush land and understanding how we can look after our beautiful nature around us.

 

New - Grade 6 State Softball Finals

Last week some of our grade 6 students travelled to the Waverley Softball Association for the Softball State Finals. We were looking forward to a great day of competition and although the students didnt have a win, they represented St Mary's with great spirit and had some really good moments. Well done everyone.

New - Preps visit Twisted Science

Our Preps had an excursion to Twisted Science in Echuca where they had loads of fun in the workshop! Before hopping on the bus to come home, they stopped at Mini golf and practised thier putting skills.

New - Ditto Program - 1/2 Area

Ditto the Bravehearts’ lovable lion cub came to visit the Grade 1/2s last week! Ditto was here to teach our younger students essential personal safety skills and knowledge using age-appropriate language, song, and dance.

New - 3/4's Head to the Golf Driving Range

The Grade 3/4s recently braved the warm weather and headed to the Mooroopna Golf Club Driving Range as part of their PE program. 

The golf pro Ben guided the students in golf ettiquette and tips in Putting & hitting a golf ball.

New - 5/6 Enquiry Display - 'Travel Expo'

Well done to our 5/6 students on their wonderful inquiry displays at the ‘Travel Expo’ today! 

Their green screen films, posters and African Masks made in art were amazing!
