Mr Butts' Announcements

Mons Peter with Ellara and Yarryn at the openeing of our new Dreaming Garden.

Opening of Dreaming Garden

It was an exciting day for St Mary's when we opened our new Dreaming Garden last week. Catherine Dyke has been overseeing the development since she successfully gained the Philomena Billington Social Justice Arts Scholarship last year.  The project has brought together students, families, staff and the wider community to deliver a space that will promote reflection and spirituality on many levels.  Thank you to Catherine for her leadership of the project, Sharon Wilson for working with the students to create the beautiful artwork, Marissa and Tahlia our Koori Education Workers for contributing ideas and assisting with the ceremony and to Phil Crowe for overseeing the landscaping. It truly was a team effort and the result is amazing!

Farewell Mrs Bryant!

Mrs Bryant is undertaking a very exciting new role in 2024 as Deputy Principal of Sacred Heart Tatura.  Felicity is one of our longest serving staff members and she has contributed significantly both as a leader of the school and in the classroom.  We wish Felicity and Luke every blessing and all the best for the future.

New Staff

We have appointed two new support staff for 2024.  We welcome back Kobie Issell, who is a trainee and will be working in the Gr 3/4 area. Sunny Alessi is an experienced Learning Support Officer who is joining us from St Mel's. We look forward to working with Kobie and Sunny next year.

Vinnies Giving Tree

We are asking families to donate presents for our Vinnies Giving Tree.  These gifts will be distributed to needy families this Christmas.  We appreciate your generosity. The tree is located in the office.
