Welcome Back!

The P&F are ready for another big year of events, fundraisers and fun!

A big welcome to all of the new families joining our lovely school this year and we hope everyone is settling well into our little community!

Parents & Friends FAQ

Thinking of getting involved with P&F this year? Here are some answers to common questions we get:

How do I get involved?

We’d love to have you! You can join us at our meetings or send us an email anytime

vsps.parentsandfriends@gmail.com

What do Parents & Friends do?

Parents & Friends focuses on strengthening the educational and well-being outcomes of our students and building a supportive school community. Working in partnership with the school, we primarily organise fundraising and community events throughout the year—such as the annual disco, Colour Run, and family social activities. We’re passionate about being guided by our students and their interests.

Who can be part of Parents & Friends?

Any parent, guardian, or friend of a student at Violet Street Primary School is welcome!

What do I have to do?

As much or as little as you like. There’s no pressure—your involvement can be small, occasional, or hands on. You’re welcome to participate without taking on any additional tasks.

When and where do you meet?

Meeting dates for the next few months have already been scheduled. Our secretary, Maddie, will check in regularly to ensure the days and times continue to suit most members.

What happens at a meeting?

Our meetings are relaxed and informal, and led by our President, Jo. We chat about upcoming events, hear updates from Carolyn, and discuss ways we can support the school and our students.

I can’t attend meetings. How can I stay involved?

No problem! You can keep up to date through the weekly school newsletter and look out for volunteer opportunities posted on the Parents app.

Will I feel welcome?

Absolutely. Join us to meet new people, discover skills you didn’t know you had, and help make Violet Street Primary School the best it can be.
