Student Accident Insurance Arrangements.

A reminder that the Department of Education  does not hold insurance for personal property brought to school and it has no capacity to pay for any loss or damage to such property.

the Department of  Education also does not provide personal accident insurance for students. Parents/carers of students, who do not have student accident insurance, are responsible for paying the cost of medical treatment for injured students, including the cost of ambulance attendance or transport as well as any other transport costs.

Parents/carers can purchase insurance policies from commercial insurers.

Thank you everyone for taking note of the reminders in last week's newsletter. there has been a noticeable improvement in driver behaviour at drop off and pick up times.

Did you know that in Nettle St we have parking spaces that are for short term drop off/pick up times? Bendigo Council installed these signs last year to help manage traffic around the school. If you just need to pull in and drop your child off, or know they will be waiting for you after school in Nettle st, please use these short term parking spaces.

Please note, these spaces are 10 minute parking spaces!

It can be challenging supporting our young people to navigate the online world safely. The eSafety Commissioner has a range of resources available  https://www.esafety.gov.au/ including webinars and video guides. The website is a wealth of information and many resources are available in a range of languages. I encourage you to make use of the many supports it provides.

I'm looking forward to hearing the school captain speeches from our senior students at tomorrow's assembly. We have lots of students applying for leadership positions this year, which says alot about how much they want to 'Be their Best', how much they care about their school and that they want to support others to be their best. #TeamBPS!
