ACPS SWIMMING CARNIVAL
Our recent ACPS Swimming Carnival was a fantastic day filled with energy, encouragement and plenty of fun!! With perfect weather and strong participation across all age levels, it was great to see students giving their best in the pool and also supporting their peers from the sidelines.
For many it was a return to one of their favourite days of the school year and for our Grade 3 students it was their very first Swimming Carnival. I am always so impressed to see them take to the starting blocks for the first time, a little nerrvous, a little excited and a lot determined as they swim their hearts out down the 50m pool. For many it is the first time they will have ever swam 50m continuously let alone in a race.

Throughout the day we saw some really strong performances from many talented swimmers in the race section of the day. Many finishes determined only be mere seconds. Once the competitive swimming was done our students were able to soak up the atmoshpehere and particiate in free swims, novelty events and water slides. A few teachers even featured in these too :)
If was a great day and one of my favourite events of the year. It ran smoothly thanks to the organisation and support of our ACPS staff, as well as the many parents and carers who assisted with throughout the day. What a great team we all make!! Your involvement helped create a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all students. We could not do it without you.
A special thank you to Nooshin and Catriona for provding all of these photos.

Congratulations to all students who participated and also to our age champions and winning house on the day.
