From the Leadership Team

The Awards Assembly was such a wonderful way to finish the week, celebrating a range of students who excelled in both their achievement and application across Semester One. While those who received an award should feel rightly proud, those who did not should feel buoyed knowing that, with hard work and dedication to their studies, any student can walk across the stage. While high grades are not always achievable for every student, application to achieving their very best is well within every student’s grasp.

With the new semester underway, report feedback fresh in their minds and feeling

re-energised from a good break, we hope that all students have set clear learning goals. We know that clear goals help with motivation, makes us more time efficient and provides us with other ways to measure success beyond academic grades.

If you are a parent of a Year 12 student, you would be aware that Year 12 Learning Conversations are fast approaching this Monday, 5 August. I can’t think of a better way to seek thoughtful feedback from staff and work together to create goals for the final 10 weeks of school for our seniors.

Like any parent/teacher night, the opportunity to sit down together; teacher, child and parents, is the perfect positive learning storm, where feedback and goal setting happen in real time. Of course, the additional information provided about SATAC Application processes will also be incredibly useful.

Semester Two is certainly an opportunity for a fresh start and a new set of goals, and we look forward to further celebrations, hopefully with some fresh faces at the end of the year at our next awards ceremony.
