Parent Engagement Groups
Our Parent Engagement Groups (PEGs) aim to provide our Parents/Carers and extended adult community the opportunity to build connections through targeted programs. The programs aim to improve personal health and well-being while building stronger and more effective bonds with their children.
PEGs will achieve this in 3 ways:
- Social Sustainability
- Improve the Social, Health and Wellbeing of Parents/Carers and Community members.
- Impactful Engagement
- Meaningful connection between Student Learning and school experience, with Parents/Carers and the Community.
- Connected Community
- Support growth in knowledge, understanding and purposeful action for Parents/Carers and Community members to meet the diverse needs of children.
Below are the current opportunities running to support you. If you would like further information please contact Daniel Thomas at the school:

IMPACTFUL ENGAGEMENT
Messed Up Science (Term 3)
Parents/Carers and their children engage in some fun messy science activities connecting parents/carers to the curriculum being covered in STEM classes. These sessions are occurring after school during Science Week and are a fun way to bring families together.
Sip and Paint (Term 4)
Be on the lookout for the official registration for the Lyster SIP n' PAINT events occurring in October and November. These events are a fun-filled night of laughter and social connection for adults. We will be holding two events from 6:30-9 pm at Lysterfield PS on:
- Thursday 24th October
- Friday 1st November
This event connects Parents/Carers with the current Visual Art curriculum and leads into our LysterART show in term 4.
CONNECTED COMMUNITY
We have several opportunities for parents/carers and our community to engage with learning targeted to support families with the health and well-being needs of their children.
These will be safe and supportive environments where adults can engage with programs, strategies and support groups to empower them to strengthen positive family well-being. Stay tuned for opportunities at the end of term 3 and throughout term 4.
