100 Days of Foundation

We are thrilled to celebrate our Foundation students' first 100 days of school on the 5th August from 9am-Recess. This milestone is a special occasion, marking their growth and achievements since the beginning of the year. We have planned a morning filled with fun activities for our youngest learners to take part in. We invite all our Foundation student's families to join us in these celebrations. 

Stars of The Week

Foundation: Sophie - For giving everything a go in her first week at Charlton College.

 

Yr 1/2: Tyson- For displaying a positive attitude to his lessons.

Yr 3/4: Eli- For showing a positive attitude and working hard in class.

Yr 5/6: Shalmain- For always having a positive mindset in Chinese.

Reading Awards

25 nights: Lilymae, Isabella & Hudson.

50 nights: Austin, Eli, Tom & Isabella.

75 nights: Campbell & Josh.

Book Review by Sam C

Sam recommended ‘Circle of Fight’, by John Marsden. This is a Adventure book set at on a farm at Havelock. There are many main characters such as Ellie, Bronte, Gavin, Jeremy, Homer and Lee. Lee, Bronte, Jeremy and Homer try save Ellie and Gavin from a group of kidnappers. Sam rates it 5 out of 5 stars and recommends it for students in years 5-8. 

Around the Classroom:

Last Wednesday the 17th of July the Year 1/2 students were hooked into their unit on procedure writing by making some Gruffalo Crumble. The students will now look at the model text (Gruffalo Crumble) to help them learn how to write procedures.
