THE ALPINE SCHOOL 

We were lucky enough to be accepted into a nine-week leadership programme in Dinner Plains, up in the alpine region. A strong community was quickly formed among all 40 students attending from across the state, who we lived and learnt with during our entire experience there. 

When learning, our classrooms were not always between two walls. Each day was just as fun and action packed as the last. Whether it was hiking, mountain biking or even skiing, we learned to persist, try new things and push our comfort zones while seeing some incredible views. Working as a team and showing empathy was a large focus throughout our time there. 

We’ve grown immensely through learning about the people and environment around us, as well as discovering a deeper sense of self, identity and understanding. Our time there could not have flown by faster. Before we knew it, it was already departure day. Leaving, we have taken home unforgettable memories and experiences that we will never forget.
