Science

As we reach the end of the school year, the Science Domain would like to thank all students and families for their involvement and partnership throughout 2025. Our Step-Up programs across the school have now concluded, giving students a valuable opportunity to transition into the expectations and learning routines they will encounter in 2026.

A highlight of the Step-Up period has been the Year 7 High Achievers' Science group, who followed their own interests to design and conduct small-scale student-led investigations. Their creativity, independence and thoughtful experimentation added a wonderful sense of curiosity and energy, and we look forward to seeing these skills develop further next year.

We were also delighted to welcome the Year 7 2026 cohort, with several classes rotating through Science for the very first time. For many students, this was their first experience in a secondary laboratory, and they approached the day with enthusiasm and great questions. We trust they enjoyed the demonstrations and hands-on activities, and that the day gave them a positive first glimpse of what Science looks like at Berwick College. We are excited to welcome them officially in 2026.

A reminder that students enrolled in senior Science subjects for 2026 have been issued holiday homework to support a strong and confident start to the new year. If any questions or uncertainties arise over the break, students are encouraged to reach out to their teachers for clarification.
