Principal Report
Mrs Luckman
As we wind down the end of 2025, I would like to begin by thanking our community for your ongoing support of myself, our staff and most importantly, our students. It is incredibly humbling to work in such a positive and collaborative school where everyone works together to keep students at the centre of all we do.
I am delighted to announce some exciting news. Joining our team next year is Mr Weppner. Many will remember Mr Weppner as a past principal of Inglewood Primary School and know him for his kindness, compassion, and love of teaching and learning.
Mr Weppner is excited to be returning to IPS in an education support capacity with a small teaching load, and I am sure our school community will warmly welcome him back.
I hope all families have a safe and merry Christmas and that everyone finds time to rest, recharge and enjoy a well-earned break after a full school year.
What an amazing end-of-year celebration. Taking fifty-four students to a water and theme park for the day was no small task, but our students were outstanding. They represented our school values beautifully and challenged themselves in ways that made us all proud.
When I thanked staff for giving additional time to make the day possible, I asked them to reflect on what they noticed. I shared my own observations and spoke about the honour it is to witness the trust our students have in their teachers. Many children were willing to try things they normally would avoid, simply because a staff member was beside them offering guidance and support. This is the true power of relationships and something that makes our school very special.
These photos show just how much joy and success the students experienced.

This week, our swimming program will conclude and once again, our students demonstrated impressive growth and confidence around the water. Swimming is such an important life skill that supports safety, fitness and wellbeing.
We schedule our program at the end of the year in the hope that families may visit the pool during the holidays so children can continue practising their water safety and survival skills.
I would like to sincerely thank all staff for supporting this program. I know that at this busy time of year, it can feel like an extra commitment but they step up because they know how vital swimming is for our students.

On Monday, our students in Grades 2 to 6 took part in a fantastic incursion delivered by the Bendigo Discovery Centre. We are very grateful for the engaging hands-on learning they provided and for giving our students the opportunity to explore science in such a fun and meaningful way.
As the school year comes to a close, we proudly celebrate the achievements of our Grade 6 students. They have shown leadership, kindness, resilience and a great deal of personal growth. Each student has made a positive impact on our school and it has been a privilege to watch them grow into confident and capable young people.
Many of our Grade 6 students held roles within Junior School Council and contributed to school improvement and community projects. Their enthusiasm and commitment have set a strong example for our younger students.
As they prepare for secondary school, we thank them for the joy and leadership they have brought to Inglewood Primary School and wish them every success in the years ahead.
