Sport report Term 4 2025

Term 4 is very quiet for sport, as all state-wide competitions have finished and we start to wrap up the year that was. I would like to thank everyone for their hard work and dedication to sport this year. We have seen a huge increase in the number of students who have trialled, competed, and been successful in their sport disciplines. It takes a lot of courage to go against other people in such a competitive domain of sport.
Tuesday sport
This term we introduced sport slightly differently for our students. They had the opportunity to select a sport off site and participate in that for 5 weeks. Stage 4 and 5 had attended F45 at Macarthur Square, Bowling at Kingpin Macarthur, Swimming at Gordan Fetterplace Aquatic Centre and offsite walking around the Campbelltown community. This was a great opportunity for our students to do something different for the 5 weeks and it was all positive as they got to do this. Those who remained at school, participated in a variety of different sports each week. Stage 5 were eager to do different sports and really enjoyed doing golf.
I hope students really push themselves out of their comfort areas and try a new sport each term in 2026. Students will have the opportunity to choose offsite sport options once again in 2026 and more information will be available in the new year.
Remember, sport is meant to be fun and engaging and you only get what you put in.
Macarthur Zone Blues Awards
The Macarthur Zone held their annual Blues Awards presentation early December. This is an opportunity to showcase the amazing talented students we have in our zone but most importantly at TRHS. This year we were very fortunate to have three students recognised and a staff member for their hard work and commitment in sport.
Sports Presentation
It is a great time of the year and being able to recognise the amazing and talented students we have at TRHS. What a massive awards presentation this was! Lots of students receiving certificates and/or awards for their efforts in sport throughout the year. Students were recognised for Tuesday sport winners, MVP’s and top scorers, Macarthur Zone Gala Day winners, State-Wide Competition teams, MVP’s and team of the year, School Spirit Awards, Representatives at carnival and team sport for TRHS, Macarthur Zone, Sydney South West (SSW) and Combined High School (CHS) competitions, Macarthur Zone Service to Sport Awards, Carnival Age Champions, and our Major Sports Awards: Premier’s Sporting Challenge (PSC), Junior and Senior Sportsman/Sportswomen of the Year, Service to School Sport, Lukasz Magolan Memorial Award and Sports Star of the Year.
