As always, Vinnies are deeply grateful for the support of the Mater Dei Catholic College Community in reaching those who are most vulnerable in the Riverina. Thank you to those families who have already contributed to our Winter Appeal.
What sorts of things could you donate?
The appeal is still running for the next four weeks.
Students and families are encouraged to donate good quality items (without any rips/tears/stains). Please bring them into the College Office, or pass them on to your Homegroup Teacher.

Saint Mary of The Cross Mackillop - Feast Day - Thursday 8 August
We often think of the Saints as heroic and in one sense, the very independent and strong willed Mary MacKillop is exactly that, heroic. She stood as a defender of the plight of the poor. She was a person in whom the weak could seek refuge and find counsel. She was and continues to be a beacon of hope for so many people.
The poor is where you will find the face of Christ. The weak is where the strength of Christ can be seen. Those in need are where the compassion of Christ is most profound. Her motto: “Never see a need without doing something about it”, still has relevance in our world today. More than ever, Mary MacKillop has a message that we should all hear and act upon. When was the last time you saw a need and did something about it? When you do, be prepared to also find Christ in that moment.
God, source of all Goodness,
May we renew our trust in your Providence to lead us to hope as we bring our prayer before you. May we grow in the fullness of your love and the depth of your mystery.
We ask this through Jesus Christ, our Way, our Truth and our Life. Amen.
