On the 27th of August, students visited Sovereign Hill to immerse themselves in life during colonial times. They panned for gold, observed the process of purifying gold, and explored what education was like in the early 1900s. They also had the opportunity to walk around and visit various historical shops.
Colour Run Explosion
The students had an incredible time at the Colour Run! Thank you so much for all your fundraising efforts. There's still time until midnight for any final donations to come in.
HOMEWORK
- A focus of Year 5 is developing speed and fluency with multiplication facts. Students are encouraged to learn their multiplication and division facts to support them with other areas of Mathematics as the year progresses.
- Reading each night is an ongoing expectation. Reading can be tracked in students' diaries or through Epic.
- To support our Inquiry focus this term, students will have weekly tasks to complete focused on a key person in Australian history.
