Prep Update

Upcoming learning: Term 3 Weeks 8 & 9.

During the next fortnight, Prep students will be undertaking learning in the following areas:

Reading	Students will learn to recognise the digraphs 'th' and 'ng'. Students will explore non-fiction texts and discuss their features.
Writing	Students will explore information reports and develop their ability to write simple reports about Australian animals including information about their appearance, habitat and diet.
Maths	Week 8- Students will learn to compare the lengths of different objects. Week 9- Students will learn to compare the mass of different objects.
Inquiry	Our topic this term is Australian Animals. Week 8- Students will learn about marsupials. Week 9- Students will learn about reptiles that are native to Australia.
Social and Emotional	Students will discuss the different uses that clothes have for providing protection for our bodies.

All students should have received a white envelope regarding the School Entrant Health Questionnaire from the Primary School Nursing Program. You can complete this form online or request a hard copy from your child's classroom teacher. This is optional.
RUOK Day- Thursday 12th September.
Footy Day- Monday 16th September. Students are encouraged to wear their footy clothes to school.
Last Day Term 3- Friday 20th September 2.30pm dismissal
