Upcoming learning: Term 3 Weeks 8 & 9.
During the next fortnight, Prep students will be undertaking learning in the following areas:
| Reading | Students will learn to recognise the digraphs 'th' and 'ng'. Students will explore non-fiction texts and discuss their features. |
| Writing | Students will explore information reports and develop their ability to write simple reports about Australian animals including information about their appearance, habitat and diet. |
| Maths | Week 8- Students will learn to compare the lengths of different objects. Week 9- Students will learn to compare the mass of different objects. |
Inquiry
| Our topic this term is Australian Animals. Week 8- Students will learn about marsupials. Week 9- Students will learn about reptiles that are native to Australia. |
| Social and Emotional | Students will discuss the different uses that clothes have for providing protection for our bodies. |
News and reminders:
- All students should have received a white envelope regarding the School Entrant Health Questionnaire from the Primary School Nursing Program. You can complete this form online or request a hard copy from your child's classroom teacher. This is optional.
- RUOK Day- Thursday 12th September.
- Footy Day- Monday 16th September. Students are encouraged to wear their footy clothes to school.
- Last Day Term 3- Friday 20th September 2.30pm dismissal
