Amazon Immersion Day

Our McClelland College students had a fantastic experience at the Amazon Immersion Day in Melbourne! 

 They explored the world of technology through exciting activities that broadened their knowledge and inspired them to consider future careers in technology.

During the Career Connections session, students chatted with professionals from various Amazon departments, including software engineering, Amazon web services, robotics, sales and marketing, business development, and more. They learned about the skills needed for success in tech and gained insights into diverse career paths.

The highlight of the day was the Working Backwards Workshop. Our students collaborated in teams, guided by Amazon mentors, to tackle real-world challenges. They brainstormed, problem-solved, and even presented their innovative solutions to a panel. This hands-on experience showcased their creativity and teamwork and provided a glimpse into the exciting possibilities in the STEM field.

Overall, it was a day of learning, inspiration, and valuable career connections. Thank you to Amazon, CSIRO, and CSInSchools for this incredible opportunity!
