Aerosol Policy

Dear Parent / Carer,

We would like to remind the community that aerosols are not permitted to be brought to school.  Students and staff at the College may suffer from asthma, severe allergies and anaphylaxis. Aerosols, sprays, and perfumes can act as triggers for people who suffer from these conditions, resulting in symptoms such as asthma attacks, headaches, migraines, and, in extreme cases, anaphylactic shock. In addition, aerosols can be dangerous as they contain flammable liquids and can also cause harm if inhaled or used inappropriately.

The health and safety of our students and staff is a priority at McClelland, therefore we ask that you please ensure your children are not bringing aerosols on site.

If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact your relevant Sub School Leader.

Thank you in advance for your assistance with this.
