Level One
Year One Police Visit
The Year One students were thrilled to have Victoria Police Officer Sarah visit our school to talk about the important role the police play in our community. Officer Sarah explained how police officers help keep people safe, respond to emergencies, and assist when we need help. She also shared important tips on how we can stay safe and when to call 000 in an emergency.
After her talk, the students were excited to go outside and explore the police car. They took turns sitting in the front seat, checking out the equipment, and were amazed when Officer Sarah turned on the sirens for them to hear! It was a fun and educational experience, leaving the students with a better understanding of how police officers help protect our community..
Year One Writing
To follow up on this exciting visit, the students then completed an information report outlining facts they had learnt about Victoria Police. The students wrote letters to our local officers at Doncaster East Police Station, asking them additional questions and thanking them for their services in our community.
