A Safe and Inclusive Environment for All Students at Doncaster Primary

At Doncaster Primary School, we pride ourselves on fostering an environment where every student feels valued, respected and supported. We are committed to ensuring that our school is a place where all students, regardless of their background, abilities or needs, can thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

Our approach to inclusivity is embedded in everything we do. From the moment students walk through our doors, they are welcomed into a community that celebrates diversity and promotes a sense of belonging. We believe that every child has unique strengths and we are dedicated to providing the opportunities, resources and support they need to succeed.

At Doncaster Primary, inclusivity means more than just acknowledging differences—it means actively supporting and celebrating them. We are dedicated to meeting the diverse needs of our students by:

  • Personalised Learning: We provide Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students who need additional support, ensuring tailored learning goals and strategies for success.
  • Support for Vulnerable Students: Our comprehensive support protocols ensure that every student, especially those facing personal or academic challenges, receives the assistance they need.
  • Professional Development: Our staff regularly participates in professional learning on inclusive practices, such as supporting students with Autism and Dyslexia, so that we are always improving how we cater to different learning needs.
  • Collaboration with Families: We work closely with families to ensure that they are partners in their child’s learning journey. Open communication and ongoing collaboration allow us to support every child holistically.

We believe that emotional and social well-being is just as important as academic achievement. Through our well-being programs and focus on respectful relationships, we teach students how to interact positively with their peers, manage their emotions and develop resilience.

Our DPS Wellbeing Team is dedicated to ensuring that students who need extra support are identified early and provided with the tools and guidance necessary to succeed. Whether it’s through one-on-one assistance, small group activities or whole-class approaches, we ensure that no student is left behind.

We understand that for students to learn effectively, they need to feel safe and calm. Our staff works hard to create structured, nurturing classrooms where students can engage confidently in their learning. This includes implementing positive behaviour strategies, building strong relationships with students, and providing emotional support through our well-being programs.

We are proud to be a school that champions the needs of all learners, creating a positive, inclusive atmosphere where every child can flourish.

As we approach the end of the term, we wish all our families a safe and restful holiday.

Thank you for your continued support in making Doncaster Primary School a place where every student can feel safe, calm and valued.

We look forward to seeing you all again in Term 4, ready for another exciting chapter of learning and growth.
