LIBRARY NEWS

I have to say I can’t believe it is already Week 7. With everything that is happening around the school, the term has gone quickly. This term we have celebrated Book Week. I would like to thank all the parents, grandparents, and special people who helped to make, purchase and organise the costumes for their child. There were so many great and wonderful costumes on the day. I would like to say a very special thank you to my wonderful Library Captains, Rosie Russell and Angelo Pendleton– Brown. Without these two students, the day wouldn’t have run as smoothly as it did.

Over the last 6 weeks, many students have been busily building their dream classroom out of Lego. The students have been able to let their imaginations run wild with things they would love to see in their classrooms. We are looking forward to seeing the finished products and will announce the winners next Wednesday.

The Scholastic Magazine has gone out again for this term. Our school can earn 15% (10% for home deliveries) in Scholastic Rewards on all Book Club orders which helps us obtain more books and learning resources. One Scholastic Reward = one dollar. Scholastic Rewards can be used to pay or part-pay for any Book Club, Teacher Essentials or School Essentials order. Scholastic Rewards are earned on the net value of the order. This is a great way to help the library purchase new books for our students to read.
