Hope you all enjoyed the mixture of sunshine and storms over the weekend and that all your houses survived yesterday evening's weather. One of our lovely parents shared this photo taken at school last week. It shows a beautiful rainbow over St James.

We are looking forward to seeing many of you at Maria Ruberto's Parent Information session about emotional responses and ways parents can manage their own and their child’s response in situations that help develop their child’s resilience.
Well done Ms Callanan
Congratulations to Ms Callanan for completing a half-marathon in Adelaide yesterday - getting a PB with an incredible time of 1:48. We are very proud of her for a wonderful achievement.
Learning Conferences
Our Learning Conferences will take place on Thursday 19th & Friday 20th September.
We will be sending out booking links next week, so keep an eye out for them.
MACSSIS Annual Surveys
Our annual surveys will be distributed to all parents, staff and Years 4 - 6 students in the next few weeks. The anonymous data we collect provides feedback into numerous aspects of our St James school community and helps set the direction for our 2025 Annual Action Plan. We ask all families to participate in this process. Next Monday we will be sending home the survey link with a unique family login code which keeps the responses anonymous. To encourage all families to complete the survey, we will be giving a free lamington to all students whose parents complete the survey.
Fathers Day Breakfast & Stall
Father's Day Raffle Tickets & Stall
Hurry! We need your raffle tickets back by Thursday 29th August to ensure you are in with a chance to win some of our fantastic prizes including a Sherrin AFL Game Day Football, NBL Game Day Basketball, Maroondah Leisure Voucher and more.
The Father's Day stall will be held from approximately 9:30am to 11am for students to purchase their gifts. Don't forget, children will need $5 on Friday to partake in the stall.

The Grade 1 P&F Event Team - Amy, Stef, Kath and Katrina still need helpers on the afternoon prior and on the morning to ensure the success of this event. Please sign up here
Our Preps will host a Father's Prayer Service commencing at 9am in the Community Centre. All Parents welcome to join.
St James Art Show
Tickets for our Art Show are available via the CDF Pay App. Tickets are $5 per family. The Art Show will commence on Thursday 12th. Viewing days and times are as follows:.

School Disco - Date Change
In response to feedback regarding extra curricular activities on Friday nights, we have changed the date of the disco to Thursday 10th October so please mark your diaries. More information to follow in the coming weeks.
Parish Fete
The fete's success relies on the participation of the whole Parish and we are hoping that you will actively be involved in our wonderful Fete this year. It's a great day for the whole family and the kids love attending.
This year's fete will be on Saturday 16 November. All families are expected to contribute to our fete. This year, as a fete committee, we are discussing the possibility of asking for volunteers to sign up earlier than in the past to help avoid that last minute panic.

Building Update
The roofing is almost complete. It's great seeing it all come together after years of planning and anticipation.
