Principal's Report

Ms Meg Woolford - Acting Principal

Grade 6 Information Evening

Wednesday 1st May was Horsham College’s annual Grade 6 Information Evening. It was a fantastic evening, and the quality of the displays and presentations made me even prouder to work at and be a part of Horsham College. Thank you to all of the staff who assisted either in setting up, attending, or presenting on the evening. In particular thank you to the Year 7 Team, led by Shannon Argall (Assistant Principal), Susan McKenry (Year 7 Leading Teacher), Cam Bruce and Gareth Hose (Year 7 Coordinators), and also to Heather Deayton, our Year 6 – 7 Transition Coordinator. I must also thank the parents, guardians and students who attended. As mentioned on the night, I encourage you all to take a tour of the school when classes are running, to help inform your decision of which school is right for your child. If you are unable to attend a scheduled tour, please contact our administration office on 5381 7100 to arrange another time.

Seizing Opportunities – After School Help Sessions

Students and families are reminded that Horsham College runs help sessions for English (Thursdays) and Maths (Mondays) after school. These are staffed by qualified teachers and allow students to further develop their skills across both subjects. The purpose of these sessions is to help all students, whether that be for catching up, or deepening and extending understanding and skills. Attending these sessions is a great way to support homework and study habits.
