Word of the Week: JAM

Every week we study a new word for out SMART Foundation Program. This week we looked at the word 'JAM'. For each word we segment each phoneme /j/ /a/ and /m/, and then read the relate sentence 'He will just have jam'.  We read a book called The Giant Jam Sandwich, and then made out own Jam Sandwiches!!

We turned into chefs and attempted to squeeze the word jam onto our bread. Once done we got to eat them!! A delicious snack 😋

Family Trees

This term the Foundation Students are exploring the topic 'Our World'. Each week we are discovering a new culture in the world. To begin the unit, the students had to explore their own families. With a little homework and some help from our Buddies, we created beautiful and unique trees representing each persons family.

Grandparents Day

Thank you to all the amazing Grandparents and Special People that visited the Foundation Classrooms. We loved showing you where we learn and grow everyday. There were some wonderful portraits of our Grandparents and Special People drawn and hopefully make it to their fridges to display!
