Cross Country

On a sunny Monday morning Year 3 to 6 Malvern Primary School students prepared to walk to the beautiful Central Park for our annual Cross Country.

As soon as we got there, Mrs. James and all the other teachers got everyone into their house colours. First, it was the Year 3 girls race. It was their first time doing Cross Country, and they were all nervous and excited at the same time. Mrs. James assigned them to a certain place so they could start off their first lap. “Ready, Set, GO!”  They took off, running as fast as they could, while the Year 3 boys were warming up, also doing Cross Country for the first time. The same process happened with the Year 4s, 5s, and 6s. Everyone who was racing tore along the track, each trying to get first place.

Once Cross Country had ended, everyone walked back to MPS. The kind teachers gave us our recess back due to missing out on it from Cross Country. After a long day, everyone was proud about what they did, and what they accomplished at Cross Country.

Thanks to all of the teachers and parents for their help organising and setting up the event. Good luck to all of the students competing in the District Cross Country.
