Principal's Message

Bon après-midi

What a beautiful day our athletes have for the Woorayl District Athletics competition today. We are so proud to have 50  students representing St Laurence O'Toole Primary School today.

Congratulations to everyone for their fantastic efforts today.

We are already a third of the way through Term 2 and well into our learning journey. Although the days are beautiful, the mornings are cold and we know that, sometimes, it can be hard to get out of bed! Whilst hard, I write now to offer this gentle reminder that attendance at school matters.

School provides a structured environment for learning, social interaction, and personal growth.

School helps individuals build a strong foundation for their academic and professional success.

School helps children gain essential skills, expand their horizons, and have they opportunity to contribute positively to our local community and society as a whole.

School attendance matters and is crucial for children to acquire knowledge, develop critical thinking skills, and prepare for future opportunities.

Our teachers, counsellor and the Leadership Team are all trained and have access to some amazing tools and knowledge in their combined years working in schools.  They are always available to work with you to overcome any obstacles you and/or your children are facing and you are not alone.  Please reach out, please speak up and please contact your classroom team if you have any questions or concerns - our door is always open.

It's shaping up to be another cracking weekend and I can not wait to get into my garden. Good luck in your soccer, footy and netball matches this weekend and I look forward to seeing you all next week.

Tous mes vœux

Liz
