Term 1 Swimming

Here is a quick update of Hazel Glen College’s sporting achievements for the Primary Years in Term 1.

In week 5, the Hazel Glen College Swim Team attended the Year 4-6 Division Swimming Event at WaterMarc. 16 students in years 4 and 5 attended. It was such a fun day out and our school performed fabulously. Even with no year 6 students attending, Hazel Glen College finished second overall and 9 out of our 16 Students made it through to the next round which was the Division Final.

The Division Final came along quickly in week 6 at Broadmeadows Leisure Centre, where our 9 students represented Hazel Glen College with pride at an even tougher competition. Once again, it was a super fun day out and four of our students progressed further to the next round which was the Region Final.

The Region Final was a very competitive event and our four freestyle relay swimmers did us proud and only narrowly missed out on winning. 

We would like to acknowledge the amazing effort from our whole swimming team and a special mention to our freestyle relay team of Milana M, Krisha K, Georgia W and Darcie M for representing Hazel Glen College in the Regional Final. Well done everyone!
