Student Achievement
Dyaal Bhullar
Whilst planning his Year 8 English - Presenting Argument CAT, Dyaal Bhullar decided that the voting age should be lowered to 16. He did not hesitate to research the issue, on both sides, seeking information straight from the source. Dyaal emailed numerous Members of Parliament to ask for their opinion on the matter. As an aspiring Prime Minister himself, he is eager to understand politics and get other students his age involved in exploring their political beliefs.
The day before he presented his speech in front of the class, he received a letter from
none other than Anthony Albanese, the Prime Minister of Australia. Written on thick paper, stamped with the Australian Coat of Arms, Prime Minister Albanese applauded Dyaal on his initiative to investigate the wider debate, by contacting those directly involved. The PM also provided Dyaal with a range of sources to support his research further. This is a wonderful achievement for Dyaal, and hopefully gets him one step closer to his political aspirations.
Great work Dyaal, the College is very proud of you!
