Year 10 Transition Planning Update

Our Year 10 students are in the final stages of their transition plans, outlining their study plans for 2025 and beyond. They are also completing their final Pathways assessment, which includes their individual Career Planning document. In the final lessons of the year, students will revisit the grading system issued by TASC, which is used in all senior colleges across Tasmania.

Apprenticeship Opportunities

The Tasmanian Automotive Chamber of Commerce (TACC) has announced they are "looking for the next generation of technicians." If you're interested in pursuing a vocational pathway in 2025, they would love to hear from you. For more information, visit their website at www.autoapprenticeships.com.au

Explore Career Pathways with "My Future" Bullseyes

Not sure what career path interests you? Visit the “My Future” Bullseyes at https://myfuture.edu.au/. These bullseyes are organised by learning areas and offer a great way to explore potential career options. They can also assist in making informed career decisions. Year 9 and 10 students have been introduced to these tools in class.

Casual Work Opportunities

Now is a great time to start looking for a "Christmas" casual job that won’t impact your academic studies. Here are some current opportunities:

  • Seasonal Casual – Pandora, Rosny Park (November to end of January)
  • Christmas Casual Team Members – The Reject Shop, Hobart
  • Casual Positions – Zone Bowling, Moonah
  • Casual Children's Entertainer – The Party Girl World (TAS)
