Grandparent's & Special Person's Day

On Wednesday we celebrated Grandparent's and Special Person's Day - it was a huge success! This is always a special day for our community, it gives us a chance to strengthen the positive connections and partnerships with loved ones. Grandparents or grandparent-like figures often play a very special role in a child's life, their love and wisdom can provide a sense of security, stability, and unconditional affection.

Our morning began with a convenient shuttle bus service, ensuring a hassle-free trip for our grandparents and special friends. We gathered together for a dedicated prayer service, which included a heartfelt acknowledgment of country and dance performance by our Year 1 and 2 students. The Primary Choir and Fiddlesticks group also showcased their musical talents, captivating the audience with their enthusiasm and skill. It was a joy to see our grandparents and special friends enjoying a delicious morning tea on the basketball court.

It was a heartwarming experience to witness the love and joy that filled the room as our staff members shared their personal family stories. Mrs. Sharon Himson spoke fondly of her grandmother and her special memories. Mrs. Kate Fazackerley also shared cherished moments, including a prayer her grandmother taught her that she now shares with her students.

The morning was filled with sunshine, laughter, and a sense of excitement. Our students were eager to showcase their classrooms and engage in fun activities with their special visitors. We are incredibly grateful to our grandparents and friends for joining us on this special day. Thank you to everyone who made Grandparent's and Special Person's Day such a memorable occasion!
