PREP NEWS
THE FUN WEEK THAT WAS IN PREP!
Literacy
In Literacy, students have been engaging enthusiastically in literacy groups and guided reading sessions, with a special focus on comprehension skills. They’ve also been exploring creative writing, showcasing their imaginative flair and growing confidence as they share stories with classmates. Our show-and-tell sessions continue to be a highlight, giving students a chance to express themselves and get to know each other even better!
Junior Hub Rotations
We’ve enjoyed rotating activities with our junior hub, allowing our Prep students to connect with the Year 1/2 cohort. Recently, students learned about Diwali and participated in a team-bonding activity. These rotations help build social connections and develop students' sense of belonging within the broader school community.
Maths
In Maths, we have begun exploring the concept of sharing. Students were introduced to sharing through hands-on activities, including using balancing beams, and have been practising new vocabulary related to this concept.
