In Inquiry, the ¾’s have been challenged to create a stack of cups with no hands and some have accomplished it.
Also we have created a marshmallow tower with partners that took a lot of effort and teamwork. Secondly, we created a random shape with cubs cups and icy pole sticks.
Lastly we got a visit from Mini Boss and we got to create cardboard arcade games out of recycled materials. It was really fun!

In Literacy, the ¾’s have been learning about procedural texts. We all made pasta to give us an example of how to write for our other procedural texts.
All of us made our own pasta dough and cut it into thin pieces of spaghetti. They were cooked in the aftercare room and everyone tried their pasta. Lots of 3/4s said that the experience was amazing but it was very hard to get the perfect pasta.
James E. from 3/4D said “Everything was very hard because the dough got very sticky but in the end my pasta ended up very delicious.”
Milan J. also from 3/4D added “Making the dough was very fun also the cutting was fun because I made different types of shapes.”
In Maths so far in Term 4, we have been learning about decimals and money. With decimals, we learnt that they are a fraction of a whole and how many parts are represented make the decimal amount. Also with decimals we played some really fun card games to improve our understanding. We had to make sure we would have an equal amount of cards in a group. You also needed a book and a pencil or a white board and marker. In week 3 of term 4 we have just started a new unit, which is about money!
