Stage 1

Welcome back to the final term of the year! We hope you all had a restful and enjoyable break. Term 4 is always a busy and exciting time, and this year is no different! We have lots of wonderful learning opportunities planned for the students.

One of the highlights this term will be our gymnastics program. The students will be working on developing their coordination, balance, and strength, while having plenty of fun along the way.

We kindly ask that all families go to the front office when collecting students early from school, rather than heading directly to your child's classroom. This helps us ensure a smooth and safe process for everyone.

As always, we look forward to supporting your child’s learning and growth in the coming weeks. Let’s make Term 4 a great one!

English

We are learning to:

• read and spell new tricky words
• add suffixes to base words
• read fluently
• check that we understand what we are reading
• write sizzling starts in narratives.

Mathematics

We are learning to:

• recognise familiar three-dimensional objects 
• sort and describe three-dimensional objects 
• describe the features of three-dimensional objects 
• construct specific volumes using cubes.

Integrated Studies

We are learning:

• about different cultures
• to appreciate the traditions of different cultures.
