SLA

SLA started off Term 4 with the Lady Northcote Camp. SLAs had a great time in the Gaga Pit, catching some Yabbies, being brave on the Giant Swing, learning some new tricks with Archery and working together with some low ropes and initiatives. We had such a fun time, and it was a great way to start off Term 4.

This year's camp was different. From not knowing our cabins first like any other year to getting a cabin I didn’t enjoy or activity group, my friends all got each other. At least I experienced cool things like going to the top of the giant swing and going yabbying for the first time. Olivia V

I thought camp was great, something I really enjoyed was the Giant swing and Yabbying. I loved the Giant swing because at the start I felt really scared but then I wanted a second go, and I loved it. And I enjoyed the yabbying a lot because at first me and my partner weren’t catching any at first but then we caught a giant one and we were so happy.

In FLL SLA have been working on an Enigma Project. Each student has chosen a passion top focus on for the whole term, integrating their learning into that passion. We started getting our thinking caps on and exploring different objects to inspire curiosity and spark their thinking about the world. Students will become experts in their topic and be ready to present their own Ted Talk about their topic.
