Etude Band Workshop with Blackburn High School

On Friday 11 October, the beginner Etude Band travelled to Blackburn High School to participate in a combined workshop with Blackburn High School and Healesville High School students. Coming together to form a combined band of well over 100 players, the sound was enormous and a great opportunity for our musicians to play confidently and learn new musical works and skills with some different music educators.

Spring Concerts

On Thursday evening, all of our music ensembles performed in the Spring Music Concerts in the Performing Arts Centre. More than 400 students played as part of our four wind bands, four string orchestras, three choirs and the jazz combo. Under the theme ‘Music to Move You’, an appreciative audience heard a great variety of music from emotional heart-tuggers to foot-tapping Latin grooves.

Congratulations to all performers, and to the many students who also assisted in behind-the-scenes roles like audio, lighting and stage crew.

With your gift of $300 (Premium Seat in the front section of the theatre)  or $250 (General Seating) each, you can play your part in continuing to upgrade and create a state-of-the-art facility for use by our students, as well as the wider community.
