Year 7

We’re now well into Term 3, and it’s been a strong and focused start for our year 7’s. It’s been fantastic to see students return with renewed energy, a positive mindset, and a commitment to their learning. Whether it's in the classroom, on the sporting field, or through leadership and co-curricular activities, our school values of Respect, Co-operation, and Excellence continue to shine through.
This time of year is particularly busy in our calendar. Pathways week, Multicultural Week, science week followed by Book Week to name a few. Our year 7’s are deepening their skills and developing strong learning routines. This includes our college classroom entry and exit routines, Cornell Notes and being on time, with all equipment and ready to learn.
Throughout Term 3, we’re continuing to place a strong emphasis on:
- Respect – fostering a culture where all members of our school community feel safe, valued, and heard.
- Co-operation – encouraging collaboration in learning and modelling positive relationships.
- Excellence – challenging students to set goals, take pride in their progress, and always strive to do their best.
Following our school values includes the wearing of the correct uniform, students ensuring they are on time for classes and working positively with others.
Thank you, as always, for your ongoing support. Working in partnership with families is a vital part of what makes our school a strong and connected place to learn and grow.

Year Level Leader's Report - Year 7
It’s been a busy and exciting time for Year 7s this term, with plenty of events bringing our school community together.
NAIDOC WeekWe started with NAIDOC Week, celebrating the history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Year 7 students joined in discussions, creative activities, and special assemblies to deepen our understanding of First Nations stories and voices.
Multicultural WeekOur school came alive with colour, fashion, dance and music during Multicultural Week! Year 7s embraced the opportunity to celebrate the many cultures that make up our school community, from trying new foods to enjoying performances and learning about different traditions.
What’s Next?
The celebrations don’t stop there! In the coming weeks, we’ll be marking Science Week with experiments, challenges, and hands-on learning, followed closely by Book Week, where we’ll celebrate our love of reading through activities, dress-ups, and shared stories.
It’s a wonderful reminder that learning happens both inside and outside the classroom – and that our Year 7s are at the heart of it all!
