Prep celebrates 100 Days Brighter!
Wednesday of Week 2 saw our Preppies marking their 100th day of school. Prep D has been keeping count all year, learning about counting in tens and place value along the way. We were very excited to mark off our 100th day. We celebrated by having a day full of 100-themed activities.
The children were invited to bring in a bag of 100 items. We had everything from grains of rice to pine fronds. We talked about how the items had been counted—in groups of ten, five or just from one to one hundred.
We participated in STEM activities—the favourite was definitely building with 100 cups. Perhaps knocking down 100 cups was even more fun than the building!
In the afternoon, we revisited two favourite activities from the previous 100 days—parachute games and a digital robot game. And of course, it’s not a celebration without cake! Mrs Pearl made us a beautiful, delicious cake to share. Happy 100 Days!
Young Hands Fold for Peace
Hi everyone,
With less than 9 weeks before the Japan Study Tour takes flight, we are embarking on the massive task of folding Senbazuru – one thousand origami cranes. These will be taken to Japan by our wonderful Year 5 and 6 students and offered as a mark of respect at the Peace Memorial in Hiroshima.
This is a beautiful and meaningful tradition that symbolises hope and a wish for peace. It’s inspired by the story of Sadako Sasaki, a young girl affected by the atomic bombing, whose legacy continues to inspire peace efforts around the world.
We’d love for as many students as possible to contribute to this special project. Even a single crane makes a difference!

☀️ No Hat, No Play
We are noticing an increasing number of students arriving at PE lessons without a hat. Our spare hat supply is very limited.
Please ensure your child brings their own clearly named hat to school every day. Hats are an important part of our SunSmart policy and are required for outdoor activities, including PE.
Thank you for helping us keep our students safe in the sun.
