Principal's Report

Welcome Back to Term 3!
After a wet and chilly break, we hope everyone managed to stay warm and enjoy some rest and relaxation over the holidays. It’s been lovely to welcome the children back and hear about their holiday adventures, from comfy days at home to exciting outings in spite of the weather!
It’s great to see everyone returning to school refreshed and ready for another term of learning, connection, and fun. Term 3 is already shaping up to be full of exciting opportunities. Students will be involved in a wide range of activities, including engaging classroom learning, camps and excursions, and special dress-up days that are always a hit!
We’re looking forward to a term filled with curiosity, creativity, and community. Let’s make it a great one together.
Learning Conversations & Upcoming Events
Our Learning Conversations are filling quickly for next week! As an important part of our Assessment and Reporting Policy, these conversations provide a valuable opportunity for families to celebrate the wonderful progress their children are making. If you haven’t yet booked a time, please take a moment to make an appointment online. In addition, hard copies of NAPLAN results will be sent home with students in Years 3 and 5. We’re also excited to showcase some of our students’ creative talents. There will be a Grade 6 Visual Arts displays set up in the Rosarium — a wonderful opportunity to appreciate the artistic flair of our senior students which will include 3 people's choice awards. Please visit the display during Parent Learning Conversations to find out how you can vote.
School Athletics Carnival
Our School Athletics Carnival on Tuesday, 12th August promises to be a fantastic day of sport and school spirit. The children have been busy training and practising, and we look forward to seeing them give it their best! Families are warmly invited to come along, cheer from the sidelines, and enjoy the day.
We’re also incredibly grateful to have a number of CMC students assisting with the operation of the event — their support is greatly appreciated!
Pupil Free Day – Wednesday 13th August
Please note that Wednesday 13th August will be a Pupil Free Day for all Catholic Education Sandhurst Limited (CESL) schools across the Diocese including Holy Rosary.
This day has been set aside for our Staff Spirituality Day, a significant opportunity for all staff to come together in reflection, formation, and renewal of our shared mission in Catholic education.
We ask families to make alternative arrangements for the care of children on this day, as there will be no classes or supervision. Thank you for your understanding and support.
School Advisory Council – Tuesday 6th August 7pm
Our next School Advisory Council meeting will be held on Tuesday 6th August. We thank our Council members for their ongoing commitment and contribution to the life and direction of our school community.
2026 Enrolments
We are beginning planning for 2026 school set up and would appreciate families who may be leaving to let us know to support not only our work but the transition of children to other settings. Our foundation enrolments are being finalised at the moment and interviews will take place this term.
