Book an Adventure!

Book Week

To start Book Week we watched a performance called Treasure Hunt. The story followed Jess from the ocean and George from the forest, who discovered something important was missing from their worlds. On their quest to find it, they overcame challenges, learnt to trust each other, and found help from an unexpected source. It was a fantastic show that brought books and storytelling to life!

Book Week was an exciting celebration of reading, imagination, and creativity!

Then we played fun guessing games where everyone tried to work out what our teacher was going to dress up as for the big parade. There were lots of clever guesses, and the suspense kept building!

One of the highlights was reading all the mystery wrapped books that came in. This was a fun and interactive way for students to share their favourite stories. We loved unwrapping each one and discovering new reads recommended by our friends.

Midweek, we explored the Book Fair, where we could browse through shelves of brand-new books, discover new stories, and maybe even take home a new favourite to read.

We wrapped up Book Week in the best way possible with our Book Character Parade! Students and teachers came dressed as their favourite book characters, from wizards and pirates to princesses and superheroes. The costumes were fantastic, and it was wonderful to see our favourite stories come to life.

Book Week reminded us how much fun reading can be and how stories can spark our imaginations in so many ways!
