Mathematics

In Term 3, we will be covering the following areas in Mathematics.

• Place value - continuing to build students' knowledge of the place value of numbers up to 1000 and using that knowledge to solve addition and subtraction problems. 
• Algebra - building fluency of addition and subtraction facts and patterns.
• Multiplicative thinking - continuing to develop student ability to think multiplicatively and fractionally and use this knowledge to solve increasingly complex problems. 
• Financial maths - developing students ability to apply knowledge of operations to financial transactions. 
• Space - continuing to build the spatial language that students use to describe different 2D shapes, including parallel and opposite lines.
