Grade 6

ENGLISH
Over the next fortnight, Grade 6 students will be completing their unit on the French Revolution, and beginning their next unit;
In writing, we will be learning how to select and upgrade nouns to start a sentence, and upgrade nouns and verbs within an argument. This will support their paragraph level writing. In week 6, Grade 6 will be transitioning to text level writing.
MATHEMATICS
Students have been working hard practicing their number fluency every day. Over the next fortnight, students will be learning about:
-Identifying and measuring angles at a point.
-Identifying and measuring vertically opposite angles.
-Constructing patterns and shapes with angles.
-Calculating unknown angles.
-Multiplying decimal fractions by powers of 10.
-Multiplying decimal fractions using powers of 10 and multiplication facts.
-Dividing whole numbers and decimal fractions by powers of 10.
-Dividing whole numbers and decimal fractions using powers of 10 and division facts.
INQUIRY
Students have been working hard on their bollard designs for our exhibition at the end of the term. Next week we will begin working on our 'Legend in the Limelight' pieces. These will also be displayed at our exhibition.
